In this role, you’ll design and implement solutions that migrate data from banking platforms into Verafin’s cloud-based application — helping build the world’s most effective financial crime-fighting network.You’ll fit right in if you’re collaborative, detail-oriented, and passionate about solving complex technical challenges that make a global impact.

• What You’ll Do
• Implement data normalization and ingestion solutions in AWS using Postgres, Java, Scala, and Unix utilities.
• Define strategies for data flows to meet application requirements.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver secure, scalable services
• Provide clear technical guidance to non-technical stakeholders.
• Continuously improve coding practices and system performance.
• What You’ll Bring
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of software development experience.
• Strong skills in Java and relational databases (Postgres).
• Experience with automated testing and cloud-based environments.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Nice to Have
• Experience with Scala and Unix utilities.
• Familiarity with AWS services and data migration strategies.
• Background in financial technology or regulated industries.This position is located in St. John's, and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment (at least 3 days a week in office, subject to change), providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
