We are currently looking for a Business Performance Consultant at our Corporate Officers in Ajax, ON

The Business Performance Consultant is instrumental in driving dealership excellence by applying data-driven analysis to optimize performance, customer satisfaction, and profitability across the dealer network. Reporting to the Manager, Business Performance Retail, this role consolidates and analyzes data from multiple sources to identify trends, pinpoint performance gaps, and develop proactive solutions that align with strategic objectives. Through comprehensive data insights, this consultant supports the Manager in advising dealerships on improving financial outcomes, operational standards, and customer experiences. Additionally, the role involves managing and continuously enhancing reporting tools to ensure accessibility and usability for field teams and dealership managers, while ensuring compliance with corporate standards and dealership agreements.

  • This is a hybrid flex position.

Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis and Performance Optimization
  • Lead data-focused initiatives to enhance dealership performance by integrating data from financial statements, scorecards, and market reports to identify trends, benchmark performance, and provide actionable insights.
  • Facilitate the collection, consolidation, and reporting of data from multiple sources to create a comprehensive view of dealership performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Execute the Dealer Performance Enhancement Program, synthesizing data from various reporting tools to develop and implement targeted improvement plans.
  • Financial Reporting and Tool DevelopmentOversee and refine online Business Management and Financial Reporting tools, ensuring they provide valuable insights and are user-friendly for field managers and dealerships. Collaborate with IT to support ongoing enhancements that integrate data from multiple sources.
  • Lead the execution and reporting of variable bonus programs, analyzing performance metrics to identify gaps and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure the structure, accuracy, and evolution of dealership financial statements, composite data, and key performance metrics to support decision-making for both internal and dealership stakeholders.
  • Dealer Margin Program Management
  • Monitor and manage the Dealer Margin Program, ensuring alignment with performance goals and effective utilization of funds.
  • Collaborate with finance controllers to manage the budget, including ongoing budget actualization to ensure that all budget allocations and spending are accurate and in line with available funds.
  • Regularly review spending data to track actual costs against forecasts, adjusting as needed to ensure budget is within parameters.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure accurate reporting and transparency in margin program budgeting, including regular updates to leadership on budget status, program impact, and any necessary adjustments.
  • Coordinate timely payment of funds to dealers via internal partners and relevant stakeholders
  • Dealer Advisory Council Management
  • Organize and manage all aspects of the Dealer Advisory Council, including preparing and distributing meeting agendas and materials.
  • Develop and deliver presentations on dealership performance, key initiatives, and program updates for council meetings.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings with council members, ensuring logistical needs are met.
  • Document, maintain, and publish meeting minutes and follow-up actions, ensuring transparency and accountability within the council and across relevant stakeholders.
  • Regular meetings with Dealer Advisory Council representative
  • Program Management and Supplier Coordination
  • Manage the execution of dealership recognition and incentive programs, using integrated data insights to align initiatives with performance goals.
  • Coordinate with external suppliers on dealership coaching programs, data management, and market intelligence, ensuring that insights from multiple sources inform dealership business planning and performance tracking.
  • Compliance and Documentation
  • Ensure legal and data compliance for all Network Development documentation, including Dealer Agreements, Letters of Intent, and other relevant documents.
  • Oversee the Business Partner Due Diligence process, conducting risk assessments for new and existing dealer partners.
  • Lead annual updates to Dealer Operating Standards and Business Planning Tools, ensuring alignment with evolving strategic goals and coordinating IT support as needed.
  • Collaboration and Advisory Support
  • Provide expert advisory support to the Manager, Business Performance Retail, on performance improvement strategies, consolidating reports from multiple sources and regularly reporting on network-wide trends, performance gaps, and progress.
  • Collaborate closely with field and Readiness teams to ensure dealer adherence to Corporate Image and Readiness standards, implementing improvement plans as needed to address identified gaps.
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics, Business Management, Project Management, or a related field and or related work experience.
  • Advanced studies in Statistical Analysis, Business Analytics, or a related field is an asset.
  • Required : 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, project management, and dealership operations.
  • Experience in network development, dealership standards, and franchise business management.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with strong abilities in integrating and analyzing data from multiple sources.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to document, present, and articulate performance metrics and improvement plans.
  • High level of organization and project management skills.
  • Adaptability, teamwork, and professional conflict management skills.
  • Proficiency in strategic planning, project management, and data-driven business tool development.
