Responsibilities
- Captain:Act as a Captain as per Company operation standards;Perform IFR Flights in challenging and rapidly changing environment;Be able to work closely with our customer, respond efficiently to aircraft tasking, while maintaining a high level of safety;Coordination and effective communication between crew and dispatchAll duties assigned by the Chief Pilot or Base Manager;
- First Officer:Act as a pilot as per Company operation standards;Any other responsibility related to the position
Qualifications
Common requirements
- Must be willing to relocate to Halifax, Nova Scotia.
- A valid Canadian passport or a valid authorization to work in Canada and to travel to USA, (this position is not available for sponsorship);
- Valid Class 1 Medical;
- Ability to successfully complete the Controlled Goods Security assessment application for NVG purposes;
- Immunization records with required vaccinations are mandatory.
- Be customer focused and a team player;
- Have good communication skills and a positive attitude;
- A Criminal record search will be conducted prior to hire.
Requirements specific by position
- Captain:A valid and unrestricted Transport Canada ATPL(H) License;A minimum of hours rotary wing flight time;A minimum of hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) which hours of Multi-Engine Aircraft;Minimum of 2 years of experience in Instrument Flight Operations with actual IFR flight hours as PIC;Previous experience flying in a Air Ambulance operation as a Captain is preferred;NVG experience an asset;Endorsement on S76 considered an asset;
- First Officer:Have a valid ATPL or have passed ATPL written exams within the previous 12 months;Hold a valid Commercial Rotary-wing License;Have hours Rotary-wing time;Transport Canada Group IV Instrument rating;Possess unrestricted Night Rating;Possess previous Night / IFR flying experience in the Maritime environment is an asset.
