Our Opportunity
Reporting to the Vice President - CPG, the Manager, Project Commercialization - CPG is responsible for leading the successful commercialization of strategic North American and Global CPG initiatives and product launches to deliver results in line with our annual budget and long-term plans. The position will manage and deliver projects from idea conceptualization through to product on shelf, while helping to optimize the RBI commercialization process and stage gate methodology.
Roles & Responsibilities
Project Management
- Lead teams to develop project scope incorporating cross functional and supplier inputs
- Develop and manage project timelines and critical path, project budget / costs and project resourcing
- Provide concise communication of risks (both financial and technical) along with planned tactics to mitigate risks to key stakeholders
- Identify scope changes, such as timing and cost implications and communicate the impacts to the affected parties
- Ensure projects fit within financial parameters determined by approved business cases. Elevate and drive decisions by senior leaders when projects fall outside of these
- Ensure effective project team engagement, including establishing and managing recurring team meetings and tracking the status of projects across the portfolio
Stage Gate
Manage key stakeholders / partners throughout the stage gate process, ensuring completion and accuracy of stage gate documents, to help drive effective decisionsContinuous Improvement
Conduct post launch reviews of key initiatives and recommend improvements to the commercialization process to influence better cross functional collaborationOngoing responsibility for identifying opportunities and implementing improvements to ensure adequate evolution of the commercialization processEssential Skills
Detailed knowledge of innovation tools and processes, Stage Gate, or similar early-stage iterative development processExpert communication and influencing skills and ability to drive effective discussions at all levels, with internal and external stakeholders.Excellent Microsoft Office skills, and the aptitude to quickly learn and apply new concepts / tools.Supply chain knowledge and experience in a food or CPG manufacturing environment.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree requiredYears of experience : 5+ years of related experience in project management and / or analytical role with a minimum of 3 years in product commercializationProject Management Professional (PMP) certification preferredExperience working in agile or start-up environment preferred but not required
