Our client, located in the heart of downtown, is looking for a full-time Junior Accountant to join their growing dynamic team.
Reporting into the Senior Accountant, the Junior Accountant will oversee all duties for Accounts Receivable functions. As the Junior Accountant, you will be assisting in month-end tasks, cash flow preparations, HST calculations and account reconciliations.
The Junior Accounts duties will include, but not be limited to the following : Implementing process improvements and drive automationFull Cycle Accounts ReceivableFixed assetsJournal EntriesInvestigation and reconciliation of key Asset and Liability accountsComplete ad-hoc tasks The qualifications and education required for the Junior Accountant role is : Degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting or Business AdministrationPrior experience working in an accounting role, preferably Accounts ReceivableIndustry experience is considered an assetExperience working with ERP systems, preferable SAP, and Microsoft OfficeThe required skills for this Junior Accountant role is : High attention to detailQuick learner with ability to navigate Finance and internal reporting systemsKnowledge of Accounting principles, practices and proceduresFlexible and adaptable to the changing requirementsStrong organizational and planning skillsIn exchange for your hard work, you will receive a competitive base salary, full benefits, as well as lunch and cellphone allowance.
