Project Engineer (Brockville, ON)

Our client, a successful mid‑sized manufacturing company in Brockville, has a new opening for a Project Engineer. Axens Canada Specialty Aluminas Inc. is a global company that provides solutions for the conversion of oil and biomass to cleaner fuels. The position reports to the Process Engineering Manager and is part of a collaborative team.

The Project Engineer will support and lead continuous improvement initiatives and manage projects ranging from small to large scale aimed at enhancing plant efficiency, productivity, quality and safety. The successful candidate will design, implement and optimize manufacturing processes through collaboration with various departments internally and externally.

Core Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate existing processes using data mining tools (e.g. Historian, OIA) to identify root causes, ongoing troubleshooting and improvement opportunities.
• Design and develop new processes and systems to enhance production efficiency.
• Lead and manage continuous improvement projects to optimize plant operations, reduce costs, and improve safety. Oversee from initial planning through execution.
• Implement and monitor process control systems and key performance metrics.
• Train and support production employees on new processes, equipment and safety procedures.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to promote innovation.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environment and regulatory standards.
• Prepare process documentation, SOPs, and updates to senior management.
• Demonstrate effective communication and foster an open culture where ideas are valued.

The Ideal Candidate

Compensation : $75,000 – $95,000
