Job description

About the Role

Must be on site in Montreal, Canada for this opportunity. Ericsson Canada Inc. does not provide immigration assistance or sponsorship now or in the future for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and high‑performance Azure cloud architectures tailored to business needs.
  • Lead and mentor the DevOps team in adopting and refining best practices.
  • Architect and optimize CI / CD pipelines using GitLab, enabling faster and more reliable deployments.
  • Apply AI techniques to DevOps workflows, enhancing automation, predictive maintenance, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align cloud strategies with product and business goals.
  • Serve as a thought leader on cloud and DevOps best practices, driving innovation and performance in telecom‑grade systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of recent experience.
  • Proven experience designing, implementing, and operating Azure cloud architectures.
  • Expert‑level proficiency in designing and maintaining GitLab‑based CI / CD pipelines.
  • Strong track record in adopting and implementing GitOps principles.
  • Hands‑on experience with standardizing and managing Kubernetes workloads using Helm charts, enabling reusable, scalable, and environment‑agnostic deployments.
  • Deep understanding of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Azure Monitor).
  • Experience defining and implementing enterprise‑grade identity and access management strategies.
  • Solid understanding of secure service‑to‑service communication and traffic management in cloud‑native environments.
  • Strong knowledge of secrets and certificate management, including PKI concepts, using tools such as HashiCorp Vault.
  • Advanced skills in IaC tools (Terraform, ARM templates).
  • Proven automation skills with Bash, Python, and PowerShell.
  • Demonstrable experience applying AI and machine learning techniques to DevOps and cloud operations processes.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with experience managing high‑performing technical teams.
