Elk Valley Resources (EVR) operates four steelmaking coal mines that employ over 5,000 people in the Elk Valley of British Columbia. Responsibilities

In this role, you will :

• Support data team members in gathering and documenting business requirements
• Help analyze, profile, and map data to business and maintenance metrics
• Assist in building, testing, and maintaining data pipelines that move data from source systems into analytical datasets and BI tools
• Learn how raw data is ingested, transformed, validated, and prepared for reporting and analytics
• Support the preparation of data and environments for testing new reports, dashboards, and pipeline changes
• Translate business needs into clear functional requirements or user stories
• Participate in discovery sessions, workshops, and fit / gap discussions to understand business problems and possible solutions
• Contribute to documentation such as process flows, data flows, data definitions, and simple technical specifications
• Support user testing, training materials, and solution roll-out activities
• Learn how project teams coordinate timelines, scope, and dependencies
• Follow company standards and best practices related to safety, security, and data integrity
