French Editor and Translator

Our client, a large financial institution, is looking for a French Editor and Translator for a 6-month contract located in Toronto. This is an excellent opportunity for a French Editor and Translator with a financial services background. Please note that this position is remote with the opportunity to work in office on Wednesdays.

As a French Editor and Translator your duties will include but not be limited to :

Contributing to the French editorial process by creating and maintaining French editorial standards

Reviewing and editing content for website, affiliated sites, mobile apps, online banking and outside digital platforms, ensuring accuracy, typography, grammar and consistent voice and tone

Updating web pages and using predetermined SEO tactics to drive website traffic

Qualifications required for the French Editor and Translator include :

Minimum of 4 years' experience as a French translator and editor

University degree in translation or equivalent work experience

Knowledge of Trados Studio, OQLF's standards, Termium, Le GDT, Antidote and terminology databases an asset
