Job Overview
Ontario Power Generation – Nuclear (OPG-N) is seeking a Senior Process Improvement Lead to drive the development, implementation, and standardization of business processes across its sites and headquarters. The role will focus on enhancing operational efficiency, supporting organizational change, and delivering measurable improvements in the Procure-to-Pay lifecycle and other business processes.

This position requires a combination of process improvement expertise, project leadership, and change management skills to ensure the successful design, deployment, and adoption of standardized processes.

Key Responsibilities
Process Improvement & Standardization
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of standardized business processes across OPG-N.
  • Assess current processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Prepare integrated process improvement plans and schedules, including resource requirements and milestones.
  • Monitor and report on process improvement performance, recommending adjustments as necessary.
  • Ensure all processes meet regulatory, safety, and operational standards specific to nuclear operations.
Project & Change Leadership
  • Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver process improvement initiatives in line with organizational goals.
  • Develop and maintain transition plans for site facilities moving from current to future state processes.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to project team members, fostering a high-performing, collaborative environment.
  • Identify potential implementation challenges (training, data migration, technology, organizational change) and develop mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
  • Serve as a key liaison between Nuclear Headquarters, site staff, and external vendors, ensuring alignment and clear communication.
  • Facilitate workshops, presentations, and training to support process adoption and knowledge transfer.
  • Represent OPG-N in cross-functional and corporate initiatives to ensure integration with broader organizational priorities.
Systems & Technology Support
  • Provide input on technology requirements to support process implementation and performance measurement.
  • Oversee configuration, testing, and cutover activities for new systems supporting process improvements.
  • Ensure accurate migration of legacy data and integration with existing corporate systems.
Continuous Improvement & Reporting
  • Maintain awareness of process change requests, prioritizing and recommending actions based on organizational impact.
  • Develop process performance metrics and track progress against expected outcomes.
  • Provide senior management with timely, actionable insights on process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in process improvement using Lean/Six Sigma methodology; Black Belt certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, business management systems, and project management methods.
  • Experience in Ariba as a business/system administrator.
  • Deep understanding of the end-to-end Supply Chain Lifecycle, particularly Procure-to-Pay processes.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional projects and managing change within complex organizations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication
  • Experience in nuclear operations or regulated environments is highly desirable.
