Sr. Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our clients Corporate Accounting team. This role is primarily responsible for maintaining the General Ledger, preparing and analyzing the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss statements, and ensuring accurate and timely completion of month-end closing procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and a collaborative mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile the General Ledger to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare and review Balance Sheet and P& L statements for internal and external reporting.
• Execute month-end closing procedures, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Assist with financial analysis and variance explanations to support management decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Support audits and provide documentation as required.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with ERP systems and intermediate/advanced excel skills.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Highly collaborative and team-oriented approach.
