Job descriptionRural area Staff accommodation available Staff accommodation provided Machine set-up Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas Handling animals Monitor the calving process Monitoring animal health Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops Treat livestock health issues Weaning Fertilize and spray crops Harvest crops Feed and tend animals Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting Carry out a pasture or pen breeding programs Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed Maintain livestock performance records Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens Maintain work records and logs Perform general farm duties Fertilizer applicator Seed drill Sprayer or duster Tractor Combine harvester Farm truck Haying equipment Loader Planting equipment Swather Hand tools Own transportation Ability to work independently Physically demanding Repetitive tasks Attention to detail Organized Team player Reliability Quick learner As per collective agreement Pension plan On-site housing options Parking available
