Job description

Aufgaben

Duties

  • Assist in developing and executing community engagement strategies for major infrastructure projects, including construction operations.
  • Coordinate and lead stakeholder engagement activities such as community meetings, pop-ups, canvassing, and project tours.
  • Proactively identify and address community concerns, developing mitigation strategies and solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, businesses, and stakeholder groups to enhance public trust and foster community support.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for community inquiries and feedback.
  • Represent STRABAG in stakeholder meetings and consultation sessions, ensuring the community's perspectives are reflected in project planning and execution.
  • Utilize an issues-management approach to resolve challenges effectively and minimize community disruptions during construction.
  • Monitor and track community concerns, providing timely updates and resolutions to stakeholders.
  • Support the development of clear and concise messaging regarding construction activities, impacts, and timelines.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to develop informational and promotional materials that align with Strabag’s branding.
  • Draft briefing notes, reports, and event summaries for senior management and project teams.
  • Leverage modern communication tools and techniques, including social media and digital platforms, to engage with diverse audiences.
  • Work closely with internal teams, contractors, government stakeholders, and community partners to ensure alignment with project goals and requirements.

Skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to create impactful presentations and reports.
  • Proficiency in additional languages, particularly French, is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of community engagement best practices and modern communication platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage sensitive situations and resolve conflicts diplomatically.
  • Qualifikationen

  • Experience in community engagement, communications, or public affairs, ideally within large-scale infrastructure or
  • construction projects.
  • A diploma or degree in Communications, Public Affairs, Urban Planning, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A valid Ontario Class “G” driver’s license and a clean driving record.
