Nanny Wanted - Nanny Wanted!

Hello!

We are looking for a nanny.

Our current nanny has gone to school to be a social worker and will be doing her practical soon.

So we are looking for someone to watch our children, Brixton (age 12) and Hazel (age 10) mostly during the week days. But there will be some weekend work.

My husband is an Ironworker and works at a local potash mine. He is home every night. They have the occasional shutdowns (usually 1 or 2 months out of the year) so we would need you to work some of those weekends which would be approximately 12 hour days.

We will need someone with a drivers licence and vehicle, we are willing to pay gas money for you to drive our children around. The kids have many extra curricular activities they need to be taken to during the week. Such as synchronized swimming, tutoring, basketball and martial arts.

Hazel and Brixton go to school right across from our house so that makes pick ups and drop offs easy!

So a typical on a school day you’d start at 6am, get the kids lunches ready, cook them breakfast and get them ready for school to leave at 8 : 30am and then clean up the kitchen and tidy up the house before leaving would be greatly appreciated. (6am - 10am morning hours)

Then come back for 3 : 00 pm, they get off school at 3 : 15, cook them dinner, do homework if needed or take them to extracurricular activities. And my husband would be home between 6 : 00pm - 7 : 00pm to take over. (afternoon hours 3pm - 6 or 7pm)

And all teacher days we will need you to watch the kids for the full day (12 hours) they average 2 a month and school breaks if they aren’t in camps.

My husband’s typical hours are Monday - Thursday - 12 hour days (including drive time) plus the odd Friday and occasional weekends.

I am a crane operator. My work schedule fluctuates and I do work out of town about 50% of the year.

Now to get into what we are looking for in our new nanny!

The obvious staples for us would be to someone who is reliable, punctual and caring towards the children.

We would like someone that can be active, creative and bake or cook with our children on days that they aren’t in school.

We would like someone who will help keep the house clean. Our current nanny does a lot of cleaning for us and we really appreciate the help.

We also have two dogs, they are 9 and 10 now that would need to be fed and let out during the day.

Organization would be a great trait to have as well, so you can pass that onto the children.
