Job description
We're seeking a detail-oriented Modular Superintendent to direct the day-to-day activities of our modular construction projects. You'll ensure projects are finished on schedule, within budget, and meet our high-quality benchmarks. This field-based role is perfect for an experienced leader with in-depth knowledge of modular building methods and a strong commitment to safety. Reporting to the Modular Project Manager, you will collaborate with tradespeople and contractors to supervise all phases of the construction process. You will work primarily on-site in various weather conditions, and the role involves physical activity, including standing and walking for extended periods.

Responsibilities
On-Site Project Supervision: Direct all daily on-site operations, managing subcontractors and personnel to ensure the efficient assembly and installation of modular units according to project timelines.

Safety & Quality Control: Champion a safety-first culture by strictly enforcing all safety protocols specific to modular construction. You will conduct regular inspections to guarantee all work meets rigorous quality standards and building codes.

Logistics & Problem-Solving: Proactively address and resolve on-site challenges, such as scheduling conflicts or material shortages. You will be responsible for tracking project milestones and managing the availability of all necessary materials and equipment.

Leadership & Reporting: Provide clear leadership and mentorship to your on-site team, ensuring adherence to best practices. Maintain precise project records, including daily logs, and provide regular, clear progress updates to the Project Manager.

Qualifications
At least five years of supervisory experience as a Superintendent, preferably within the modular construction industry.

Expert knowledge of modular building techniques, relevant building codes, and current safety regulations.

CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 certifications are mandatory. Additional safety certifications like First Aid or Fall Protection are considered strong assets.

Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications, combined with excellent leadership and communication skills.

A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required. A willingness to travel for out-of-town projects is a significant asset.
