Requirements :

Bachelors Degree from accredited Interior Design University or College

Must be able to commute to Toronto office

Legally entitled to work in Canada

Minimum 8 years experience in high-end hospitality design

Highly proficient in Autocad, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch Up, Microsoft Office applications

as well as a working knowledge of 3D Studio Max

Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects, and deadlines

Able to work in fast paced environment

Exceptional graphics and presentation skills to communicate ideas including effective verbal and written skills

Ability to collaborate with other team members

Able to travel internationally

Strong client management and leadership abilities

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage 1-2 projects, ensuring the successful execution of all phases of production with minimal supervision.
• Lead and assist management throughout all design phases, including Concept, Schematic Design (SD), Design Development (DD), Construction Documents (CD), Finishes, Specifications, and Construction Administration (CA).
• Actively engage in key meetings with internal teams and clients to drive project success.
• Cultivate strong, trusting relationships with clients by expertly managing expectations and delivering compelling presentations.
• Master contract details to guarantee all deliverables are executed on time and align with the defined scope.
• Have a thorough understanding of project and team schedules to streamline processes.
• Drive the production of projects through all phases with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and leadership.
• Effectively coordinate with external project consultants such as lighting, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing), structural, signage, and kitchen consultants to ensure seamless project integration.
• Strategically forecast, prepare, and assist in developing project schedules and milestones.
• Proactively support the management team in organizing impactful project meetings.
• Mentor and inspire Junior, Intermediate, and Senior Interior Designers, guiding all team members involved in the project.
• Take a leading role in client communication and ensure flawless consultant and internal collaboration throughout the project.
• Fully understand each project contract and scope of work, responding to clients' requests, needs, and desires with precision and follow-through.
• Review project-specific shop drawings and expertly prepare documentation for Requests for Information (RFIs).
