Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Ottawa, Ontario. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing and overseeing accounts receivable processes while ensuring timely and accurate payment collections. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a not-for-profit organization.

Responsibilities :

• Monitor and manage overdue accounts, ensuring timely follow-ups to resolve payment issues.
• Generate detailed aging reports using Excel and accounting software systems to track outstanding balances.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to gather necessary information for account reconciliation.
• Process invoices and payments accurately while maintaining detailed records of transactions.
• Utilize ERP systems and CRM platforms to manage accounts receivable workflows effectively.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving disputes related to billing.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and recommend strategies for improving collection processes.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and financial regulations.
• Assist in preparing reports and documentation to support audits and financial reviews.
• Continuously improve accounts receivable procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related role.
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting software systems.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems and CRM platforms.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage large volumes of data with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams effectively.
• Experience with invoice processing, payment collection, and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of compliance standards and financial regulations.
