Linehaul Driver Class A

Overview

Our client, Purolator, is seeking a Linehaul Driver to join their team. The ideal candidate will hold a Class A Driver's License for a minimum of 3 years with a clear driving history.

Job Title: Linehaul Driver
Location: Sudbury, ON
Shift: Monday to Friday: 10:15pm to 4:45am (30 hours/week)
Pay Rate: $30.30

What’s the Job?

• Drive to/from customer locations
• Safely operates company vehicles (e.g., tractor-trailers, 5-ton vehicles, shunt trucks, etc.) and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.)
• Pick up and deliver freight to/from warehouse or package depot and/or customer locations and meet service level agreements
• Resolve problems as they arise while on the road in collaboration with Dispatch
• Pick up, deliver, and load/unload freight at customer locations
• Scans freight upon pickup and delivery
• Conduct vehicle inspections (tractor - 20-minute pre-trip, 15-minute post-trip; trailer – 15-minute pre-trip per trailer)

What’s Needed?

• Valid Class A Driver's License for at least 3 years required
• No more than four (4) demerit points on Driver's Abstract
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70lbs.
• Must successfully pass Defensive Driving and Courier Methods training
• Ability to problem-solve and collaborate with Dispatch and customers
• Strong organizational and time management skills
