Job description

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Bilingual Human Resources Manager is a versatile generalist. This professional plays a pivotal role in planning, organizing, and implementing comprehensive Human Resources strategies and programs

Key Functions

  • Employee Relations : Advise leadership on HR policies, facilitate workplace investigations, resolve conflicts, and ensure compliance with legislation.
  • Talent Acquisition : Develop recruitment strategies, manage full-cycle hiring processes, and oversee onboarding to meet organizational needs.
  • Benefits Administration : Coordinate benefit plans and serve as a resource for employees regarding inquiries and escalations.
  • Compensation : Manage salary reviews and incentives as part of the annual compensation cycle using ADP Workforce Now.
  • Employee Engagement & Recognition : Analyze engagement survey results, implement strategies to boost culture, and lead recognition programs.
  • Performance Management : Oversee review processes, monitor progress, and provide guidance on appraisals and individual development goals.
  • Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion : Develop outreach programs, enhance recruiting practices, and implement an inclusiveness lens in policies and procedures.
  • Health and Safety : Ensure compliance with occupational health regulations, monitor workplace safety programs, and conduct risk assessments.
  • Psychological Health and Safety : Design and execute mental well-being initiatives to support employees, aligning programs with organizational goals.
  • Policy Compliance : Update and maintain HR policies to reflect regulatory changes and ensure alignment with corporate standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Human Resources required.
  • Five to seven years of experience in a Human Resources role, including a minimum of five years focused on employee relations, preferred.
  • Certified Human Resources Professional / Leader designation (CHRP / CHRL) preferred.
  • Managerial experience preferred.
  • First Aid certification and Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) Certification are considered assets.
  • Strong knowledge of Human Resources legislation and principles, including ESA, PIPEDA, WSIB, OHSA, AODA, Pay Equity Act, Human Rights Code, and related regulations, required.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, such as ADP Workforce Now, preferred.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) required.
