Salary Range

Salary Range : $60,000 to $65,000

How you will make an impact

You will be responsible for running the pastry operations by creating, planning and supervising the daily production of top-quality pastries, desserts and baked goods.

As a Pastry Sous Chef, you will

• Oversee and coordinate the daily production of all pastries, desserts, and baked goods, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency are consistently met
• Ensure recipes and standards are followed, food costs are controlled, and appropriate quantity is prepared based on established production needs
• Ensure accurate records and logs, including production, consumption, waste, cleaning, and temperature logs
• Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
• Monitor and control the maintenance and sanitation of the kitchen and equipment to ensure a work environment that meets / exceeds federal, provincial and corporate standards and regulations
• Act as Manager for all hourly associates within the kitchen, including training, coaching, participating in reviews and recommending disciplinary action, as appropriate
• Lead station operations for all meal periods, ensuring flawless service and full menu execution
• Help plan and implement seasonal menus
