Under the guidance of the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator will support the oversight of City projects, including engineering design, contract administration and in-field duties on projects related to roads, intersections and sidewalks, water and wastewater systems, building construction and renovation and land development, etc.

The Project Coordinator will :

• Perform pre-design and construction infield and quantity surveys
• Conduct inspections and review information to set the scope and parameters of capital projects.
• Assist with the preparation of drawings, specifications, estimates and contract documents such as Requests for Tender, Requests for Proposal, etc.
• Inspect and confirm that project work is compliant with the designs, specifications and project requirements
• Coordinate and oversee consultants and contractors to manage a variety of project scopes in all stages of design and / or construction.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical input on project progress, management of change, construction solutions and progress claim approval.
• Support the development of project budgets and forecasts, and manage the budget, continencies and forecasted expenditures of ongoing projects.
• Perform technical reviews and provide input, comment or recommendation on design, specifications, assessments, studies, plans / drawings, materials, proposals, tenders, agreements, and reports.
• Provide contract administration support to projects.
