Surface Mining Supervisor- Timmins

Day Group Timmins is looking for a Surface Mining Field Supervisor who is client-focused, and has proven knowledge of construction technology, documentation, methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures. The Surface Mining Supervisor will require a solid understanding of construction scheduling, cost control, QA / QC requirements, and excellent ability to supervise and direct groups in an efficient manner.

To be successful in our dynamic environment you must have 5 years of field-experience and 3-4 years in a supervisory role. Your strong knowledge of construction site operations, including Occupational Health and Safety compliance, proven leadership and problem-solving capabilities, and ability to meet deadlines on-time and on-budget will be an asset. If you are someone who also has excellent verbal and written communication skills, and can facilitate communication between subs, suppliers, and other project participants, then Day Group wants to hear from you.

Qualifications

• Computer literacy- i.e., Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook.
• 3 - 4 years field experience in the mining or construction industries.
• A Diploma in civil and or engineering, construction management, project management or an equivalent combination of education and experience would be an asset.
