Job Description:

An exciting opportunity is available with one of our clients for a Senior Tax Analyst for a 12 month contract to join a dynamic tax team and contribute to key compliance and strategic initiatives across Canada, the USA, and the UK. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys tackling complex tax challenges. They are looking for someone with In-Depth Tax and a CPA or in the program.

***This is a long term contract with base salary + Health and Dental Benefits + retention bonus**

Key responsibilities of the Senior Tax Analyst are to:

• Prepare monthly GST/HST/PST/QST returns and general ledger reconciliations
• Support tax audits, recovery initiatives, and process improvements
• Ensure accurate self-assessment and POS tax application
• Monitor legislative changes and SOX requirements
• Serve as an internal SME for commodity tax inquiries
• Participate in cross-functional projects and committees

TMGCT

Job Requirements:

• 3+ years of Canadian commodity tax experience
• CPA designation or in-progress (CFE completed accepted)
• Strong GAAP knowledge and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• Technical proficiency with Excel and ERP systems; Oracle/Power BI is an asset
• A proactive mindset and enthusiasm for continuous learning
