Role Overview
As Culinary Manager, you will lead our culinary and dining department, create exceptional menus, lead a high‑performing team, manage costs and ensure resident satisfaction. You’ll collaborate with the Executive Director, National Director and Regional Managers to translate culinary visions into actionable plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, train and mentor culinary staff.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and menu development.
- Maintain cost efficiency and budgetary control.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
- Deliver a “Best In Class” dining experience for residents.

Red Seal Certification.Several years as a professional chef with progressive kitchen roles.Leadership experience such as Sous Chef, Kitchen Supervisor or Lead Cook.Post‑secondary education in culinary management or a related field.Food Safety / Food Handler’s Certification.Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.Smart Serve Certification or provincial equivalent.Computer skills for inventory, menu planning and communication.Budgeting, cost control and inventory management experience.Experience in retirement living is an asset.Valid Vulnerable Sector Check within six months.Don’t Meet Every Requirement?
