Possibility of extension & conversion to FTE : Possible

Schedule Hours : 9am-5pm Monday-Friday;standard 37.5 hrs / week (Possible OT)

The team requires a highly specialized Mainframe / Assembler Developer to support complex legacy systems, modernize critical applications, and ensure stability, security, and performance across high impact banking platforms. This role fills a senior technical gap and supports ongoing transformation and maintenance initiatives.

Project :

Enhancement, modernization, and ongoing support of large scale mainframe applications, including Assembler based components, COBOL programs, and integration with enterprise systems such as WebSphere, Informatica, and ETL pipelines.

Typical Day in Role

Candidate Requirements / Must Have Skills

1. 10+ years of recent, hands on Assembler (HLASM) development experience —expert level proficiency required.

2. 10+ years of mainframe development experience using COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, Netron.

3. 5+ years’experience with security and environment control systems such as ISPW, Endevor, RACF;plus database management tools (IDB2, VSAM).

4. 5+ years’experience with mainframe utilities and productivity tools (MVS / TSO, ACR, COMPAREX, SYNCSORT, IDCAMS, CRF, File Manager).

5. 5+ years of strong DB2, DFSORT, JCL, and COBOL experience supporting large scale enterprise applications.

Nice To Have Skills

1. Understanding of file transfer protocols (FTP, SFTP).

2. Knowledge of mainframe integration for ETL processing.

3. Experience with DevOps practices and tooling.

4. Experience with web services and APIs.
