Civil Engineer

Wood is currently recruiting for a Civil Engineer to join our Edmonton, AB office within the Oil & Gas Canada business unit. We are looking for a motivated, energetic individual with strong knowledge in Civil Engineering and Design within an EPC environment.

Our projects team has a long history of delivering some of the biggest and most complex projects in Oil & Gas along with associated pipelines and refinery infrastructure. • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited University
• Must be registered as a Professional Engineer ( in the province of Alberta
• Five (5) to ten (10) years of progressive experience in civil engineering and design in the oil and gas industry, preferably in an EPC(M) environment
• Experience in earthworks, site grading, roads, drainage
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks
• Strong technical writing skills; experienced in the preparation of correspondence, reports and proposals
• Effective verbal communicator, including presentation, facilitation and listening skills
• Ability to work both independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment
• Proficiency with Civil 3D modeling and AutoCad drafting would be an asset
