Our client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst with experience working enterprise web-based educational platforms to lead stakeholder requirements and agile ceremonies for a public sector client. (EDC-25-09)

Must Haves:

• 7+ years as a Business Analyst working on agile web-based software development projects with the following experience:Eliciting and documenting requirements in the form of user stories with acceptance criteria.Leading stakeholder requirements meetings and facilitating agile ceremonies (e.g. story breakdown, backlog refinement, sprint planning) in remote or hybrid work environments.
• Facilitating agile ceremonies (e.g. story breakdown, backlog refinement, sprint planning, etc.)
• Using collaboration tools such as Miro (or equivalent) and task management tools such as Azure DevOps (or equivalent).
• Experience as a business analyst working on large-scale, web-based educational platforms

Responsibilities:

• Provide business analysis services in support of new LearnAlberta.ca and related applications in an agile environment.
• Elicit business requirements from business users and subject matter experts.
• Gather, analyze, document and validate new and existing business processes.
• Provide user mockups and low fidelity designs.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings and capture documentation and minutes.
• Review business analysts’ deliverables to ensure quality.
• Write user stories and manage product backlogs.
• Assist in operational rollout and support.
• Lead and conduct user acceptance testing.
• Lead or assist in the development of business cases and other technical documents as needed.
• Escalate issues and risks, as appropriate.
• Provide stakeholder training.
• Engage and interact with the technical team.
