Responsibilities
Construction Project Management :
- Perform project management duties / tasks working as the Owner’s representative.
- Coordinate construction administration services including schedule preparation, review, and tracking.
- Serve as the main point of contact for the contractors and consultants of the design-build team.
- Attend job meetings, ensure completion of progress payments, meeting minutes, maintain thorough records, and report on project status.
Quality Assurance and Compliance :
Ensure required testing activities are performed at the prescribed frequency and results meet contractual requirements.Coordinate construction documentation and ensure distribution to internal review teams as required for review and approvals.Ensure construction compliance with contractual drawings and specifications.General Observation and Coordination :
Travel to the project location in Argentia, NL as required for on site meetings.Act as the main point of contact for the Owner and Owner’s engineer (Dillon) and ensure constant communication with applicable parties of the construction project to bring the project to completion.Qualifications
Ability to read and understand contract drawings and specifications.Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills using standard project management methods.Capability and willingness to travel in all weather conditions, and outside regular business hours as required.Willingness to travel regularly to the project site in Argentia, NL.Experience
Experience managing construction projects.Knowledge of industry-standard contracts and specifications.Knowledge of Health and Safety, quality and Environmental standards.Consideration will be given to applicants with Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
