This is a full‑time temporary employment opportunity for an initial duration of one (1) year, with an expected start date of March 1, 2026.

Pay Range

  • Base pay : CA$50,000.00  /  yr – CA$53,000.00  /  yr

About MCIS Language Solutions

MCIS is a not‑for‑profit that has evolved into a social enterprise, working to remove language barriers for over 30 years. With more than 60 full‑time staff and a roster of over 6,000 language professionals, MCIS provides a full suite of language solutions—including interpretation, translation, transcription, localization, and training—to government, legal, police services, and healthcare organizations in more than 300 languages.

Every year MCIS invests a portion of its net income into initiatives that support free services for vulnerable populations, training subsidies for aspiring interpreters and translators, and language advocacy initiatives such as the Our Language Rights Canada Conference on Canadian Language Advocacy Day.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify sales opportunities for potential and new clients : follow up on requests, research prospective clients, send agreements and pricing information, assess and validate client needs, coordinate with sales and other teams, support new business initiatives, analyze data to improve sales outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain long‑term client relationships : act as primary point of contact, ensure timely delivery of services, onboard new clients, resolve complaints, and provide ongoing training and presentations.
  • Gather and respond to customer feedback : monitor feedback, coordinate resolutions with relevant departments, provide updates on actions taken.
  • Reporting : prepare usage reports, present progress to National Business Development Manager and Director of Marketing & Business Development, prepare reports on new clients, maintain insurance documentation.
  • Contract management : ensure contracts align with service capacity, set up new client accounts and update CRM (e.g., HubSpot).
  • Perform any other tasks related to the department and MCIS’ vision.

  • Education & Experience

    General post‑secondary education (university degree or college diploma) in Business Administration or Marketing is preferred. Minimum of 2 years of related experience in sales, cold calling, sales reporting, client issue resolution, and project management. 3–6 months of on‑the‑job learning required.
