Our client is a dynamic and growing flavor company in the food and beverage industry. They are seeking a full-time Outside Sales Representative to manage and grow a portfolio of B2B clients in the food and beverage sector. You will travel within your region to visit with customers.
This role can be based in either Toronto (in-office) or in Montreal (remote).
This is a hands-on sales role focused on driving business growth, building client relationships, and delivering customized flavor solutions.
Some of your key responsibilities in this role will include:
- Managing a portfolio of food and beverage clients across Canada, with a strong focus on relationship-building and account growth.
- Conducting regular client visits to promote products and uncover new sales opportunities.
- Collaborating closely with internal R&D and technical teams to deliver tailored flavor solutions that meet customer needs.
- Managing the full sales cycle, including lead generation, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
- Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to inform sales strategy.
- Preparing and delivering compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations.
- Maintaining accurate CRM records, sales reports, and forecasts.
- Supporting marketing campaigns and participating in trade shows and industry events as applicable.
- Contributing to the growth of our client’s Canadian business, meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals and customer expectations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of B2B sales experience within the flavor, food ingredients, personal care ingredient, or food manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of the Canadian food and beverage and/or personal care market.
- Experience selling to flavour houses or aroma houses is an asset.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and growing customer accounts.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Willingness to travel regionally as required (up to 30%).
- Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office.
