RVT, Anesthesia Location : Toronto, ON Department : Anesthesia

Toronto Veterinary Emergency Hospital (TVEH) is a large 24-hour emergency and referral hospital located in Scarborough, ON and we are welcoming a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician, RVT to join our Anesthesia team.

This position involves working directly with our Anesthesiologists to provide exceptional care to the various departments at TVEH. The ideal candidate will possess great interpersonal skills, be able to work collaboratively within the Surgery / Anesthesia team, and adapt to changing situations. Excellent communication skills are essential.

You must be an RVT in good standing with a strong knowledge of Anesthesia and, above all, have a passion for doing what is in the best interest of the animal.

The skills that you will be utilized include, but are not limited to :

• Assist with and perform anesthesia for patients across multiple services in the hospital as needed
• Technical skills; physical examinations, patient assessment, venipuncture, catheter placement, peripheral nerve blocks, epidurals and arterial catheters
• Ability to keep detailed and accurate patient records
• Compassionate care for our patients
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Ability to problem solve
