We are currently looking for a compassionate, self-motivated individual to join our team as a Family Resource Worker. Within a school-based setting you will assist students and their families with a wide range of social, emotional and behavioral challenges. Our ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a high level of sound and independent judgement along with a commitment to confidentiality. Effective planning and organizational strategies and the ability to contribute within a team environment are essential.
This is a 10-month, part time temporary maternity leave replacement position (0.6 FTE) working three days per week, 7.5 hours per day, September 2024 to June 2025, in the Hanna area. Emergency call out over July and August may be required. Travel to other areas within the division will be required. Responsibilities will commence August 26th, 2024.
Preference will be given to a candidate who has acquired a College Diploma or a University Degree in a human services / health related field (a degree in Social Work would be preferred). A combination of education, training and relevant experience may be considered. You must hold a membership or be eligible to hold a membership within your professional designation. You will possess a valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license, along with valid insurance and a reliable vehicle for travel.
