Our Team is composed of US, Canadian and International tax specialists reporting to Vice-President Tax.
The role we are offering you :
Reporting to the Canadian Tax Manager, the Tax Analyst will act as a business partner completing tax compliance of the main Canadian entity (public company).
Results oriented, able to adapt quickly and flexible in all situations encountered, the candidate will work within a dynamic team and will participate in the tax compliance of assigned entities.
To do so, he / she must :
- Prepare or review tax provisions;
- Prepare Canadian tax returns (T2) and the underlying forms (T106, T1134, NR4 etc.);
- Prepare journal entries regarding book-to-tax adjustments, tax payments and refunds.
- Great knowledge regarding balance sheet accounts continuities and applicable accounting standards;
- Participate in the consolidated tax provision : perform analyzes of different components impacting the tax expense and tax accounts in order to provide global visibility;
- Support the team for tax audits affecting the company (corporate tax) by preparing the analysis required for government audits and preparing audit summaries and their impact;
- Monitor tax filings by the companies, ensure that tax assessments have been analyzed and registered in the books.
- Monitor applicable tax laws and regulations changes affecting CAE entities;
- Perform research and analysis regarding various files, special projects and uncertain tax positions, able to present non-recurring transactions affecting companies and explain applicable tax treatments to minimize the tax risks;
- Participate and contribute to the internal technical knowledge sessions regarding various accounting and tax subjects.
The candidate must :
- Hold a University Degree in Accounting.
- Have a minimum of 3-4 years experience in corporate taxation and tax accounting.
- Hold an accounting designation, an asset.
- Master's degree in taxation or specialized taxation course from the CICA, an asset.
- Knowledge of Oracle and HFM, an asset.
- Be bilingual (French and English).
