Maintenance III - Journeyman Plumber / Gas Fitter

The successful candidate

will provide plumbing and gas fitting services to the Facilities Department, under the direction and supervision of the Director of Facilities. DUTIES : Duties of this position are to include but are not limited to : Performance of all duties related to the scope of the trade. Assess school buildings, equipment and / or vehicles for required maintenance. QUALIFICATIONS : Valid journeyman's certificate with gas fittings Valid Class 5 Drivers license or higher if required. Other valid certificates as required by Facilities (First Aid, WHMIS, Fire Extinguishers). Technology and computer skills (e-mail, computerized inventory control programs, computerized maintenance programs). Must be self-motivated, self-directed with the ability to organize and prioritize work. Must be able to work with minimal supervision and as a team player. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Physical ability to perform required duties. HVAC Certification would be an assets but not required. Must have an understanding of RTU's and Boiler Systems.
