Our valued health services client is seeking a Senior Management Consultant to develop an inaugural three-year strategic plan outlining clear goals, objectives, strategies, and performance indicators for the organization.
Initial 3 month contract opportunity, with possibility of further extension.Work to be performed remotely, with occasional travel required (e.g. one to two in-person meetings within Ontario - likely Sudbury, ON - during the engagement)
Responsibilities :
- Review and reassessment of the organization's current mission, vision, and values.
- Design a participatory process that engages internal staff, Board, Members and external relevant parties to develop a new strategic plan which includes (but is not limited to) : Context analysis - Current operational reflection, SWOT, environmental industry scan Problem identification - service gaps, skills gaps, capacity gaps Corporate Change Tolerance and Risk assessment Strategic goals and objectives Implementation plan (for at least year 1) Success Indicators and Methods for Evaluation
- Development of a participatory engagement process which could include : Focus groups comprised of internal staff and Board members Key informant interviews Collaborator and partner mapping
- Facilitate in-person and / or virtual strategic meetings or retreats with the Board and leadership team.
- Draft the strategic plan based on the outcomes of the strategic planning development processes
- Validate the strategic plan with key informants (as identified through the planning process)
- Facilitate the development of the implementation plan for the first year
Must-Have-Skills :
10+ years' experience as a Senior Management Consultant / Executive leader developing strategic planning processes with mid-size non-profit organizationsDemonstrated experience in grounding strategic planning processes for healthcare IT service delivery principles and practicesHighly familiar with the Ontario or Canadian healthcare sector and healthcare digital roadmapsDemonstrated experience managing the diverse needs of Francophone and First Nations / Indigenous populations
