The Role: Hydraulics & Electrical Specialist

The Hydraulics & Electrical Specialist is at the heart of shipbuilding innovation - installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the hydraulic and electrical infrastructure that keeps our products and production equipment running strong.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and commission hydraulic and electrical systems in custom marine products, ensuring every detail meets high standards
• Travel periodically to customer sites for installation and commissioning
• Diagnose and repair faults or breakdowns in hydraulic and electrical systems
• Collaborate with Engineering to refine designs and support new ideas
• Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs on production equipment or supporting fabrication
• Work closely with inventory, production, and engineering teams to keep projects moving
• Document setups and share best practices for continuous improvement

What You Bring

• Deep knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems - design, build, and troubleshooting
• Mechanical aptitude and a can-do attitude Exceptional problem-solving skills
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Team spirit and passion for learning and teaching
• Proven ability to work well under minimal supervision and follow through
• Strong organizational skills
• Experience in a production or fabrication environment (marine industry an asset)
• Forklift and Overhead Crane Certification is an asset
• Level 1 or 2 First Aid is an asset
