As Senior Project Manager / Project Director , you’ll lead Area Managers, Engineering Managers, and project engineers—guiding stakeholders with confidence and clarity.

Location : Ideally based in the Greater Toronto Area or Sudbury, Ontario.

At WSP Canada , our ERI (Energy, Resources & Industry) sector delivers projects nationwide—from small installations to multi-phase megaprojects in oil & gas, mining, heavy industry, and renewable energy (solar, wind, hydro, and more). We provide design, engineering, and environmental services that drive climate adaptation, protect water and biodiversity, and help clients transition to low-carbon solutions.

You bring proven project management experience in energy and heavy industry, strong governance skills, and a talent for fostering new business opportunities. Reporting to the Vice President of Major Projects, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our ERI portfolio and advancing client success.

Your Impact

• Lead planning and execution of multi-phase, complex mining and heavy industrial projects across Canada.
• Develop and implement Project Management Plans, including risk, safety, quality, and communication strategies.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, and governance to ensure delivery on time and within scope.
• Mentor and guide engineering managers and project teams to achieve technical excellence and client satisfaction.
• Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities for growth and innovation.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YK : $147,500 – $195,400

MB & ON : $134,600 – $184,600

NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC : $133,200 – $176,900

Disclosure : The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on factors including education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
