Warehouse Tech

Our client, a major Oil and Gas company, is looking for a Warehouse Technician to join their team on a 1‑year contract in Edmonton.

Responsibilities

• General duties : keeping the warehouse clean and organized, looking for improvement opportunities and adapting as processes develop.
• Data integrity for the Maximo Inventory Storeroom.
• Work in conjunction with the facilities inventory buyer.
• Communication with all stakeholders as required.
• Operate material handling equipment as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Shipping and receiving : offloading and loading of trucks, receiving and inspecting materials, putting away in proper bin / shelf, entering materials into Maximo, accepting goods, visual inspection, assisting with shipping to repair locations, returning stock to vendors, material transfers between facilities.
• Inventory control : timely cycle counts (ABC analysis), keeping real‑time inventory data up to date, updating vendor / manufacturer information, working with the Facility SME to determine reorder points and stocking decisions.
• Management of critical spares and spare parts.
• Maintain “Where Used” data within Maximo.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI).
• Inventory allocation : staging, kitting, issuing inventory requests based on demand.
• Run inventory re‑orders within Maximo.
