Saskatchewan Blue Cross®, one of Saskatchewan’s Top Employers, is currently recruiting for a full-time Claims Analyst (I) to join our team in the Health & Dental Claims department. This is a temporary position (for up to 12 months) with the possibility of extension. This position offers the flexibility to be in-office or participate in hybrid options in our Saskatoon or Regina office.

Reporting directly to the Team Lead, Health & Dental Claims, the successful candidate will be responsible for accurately and efficiently entering and adjudicating standard health and dental claims. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accurately and efficiently process ‘non-complex’ claim documents according to department procedures and standards to ensure timely payment for our providers and members
  • Participate in the Claims Quality Assurance Program
  • Monitor individual productivity to ensure performance expectations are met
  • Suggest opportunities for improvements in workflows and processes
  • Perform outbound client contact to request or confirm additional information
  • Provide cross-functional and general administrative support
  • Consult with Claims Specialists or Team Leads for direction as required to ensure appropriate handling of any undocumented claims processing scenarios
  • Remain current with product and procedural knowledge
  • Perform other duties as required
  • QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Completion of a post-secondary diploma or certificate program in a related field accompanied by a minimum of 1 year of related administrative experience; a combination of training and experience will be considered
  • Previous experience in the assessment of health or dental claims, the insurance industry and / or a dental or medical administration role would be definite assets
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, as well as strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work to deadlines and manage fluctuations in workload
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 including Word and Excel with the ability to easily learn new software programs
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
  • On occasion, must be willing to work additional hours, outside of regular operating hours, to meet the operational needs of the department
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada on an unrestricted basis
  • Criminal Record and background check satisfactory to Saskatchewan Blue Cross
