Saskatchewan Blue Cross®, one of Saskatchewan’s Top Employers, is currently recruiting for a full-time Claims Analyst (I) to join our team in the Health & Dental Claims department. This is a temporary position (for up to 12 months) with the possibility of extension. This position offers the flexibility to be in-office or participate in hybrid options in our Saskatoon or Regina office.

Reporting directly to the Team Lead, Health & Dental Claims, the successful candidate will be responsible for accurately and efficiently entering and adjudicating standard health and dental claims. Our ongoing training and commitment to staff development helps ensure a thorough understanding of products and systems and the development of your skills and knowledge as a professional in the insurance industry. To be successful in this position, you’ll need to enjoy data entry, maintain a customer focused approach and work successfully in a professional, team-based environment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Accurately and efficiently process ‘non-complex’ claim documents according to department procedures and standards to ensure timely payment for our providers and membersParticipate in the Claims Quality Assurance ProgramMonitor individual productivity to ensure performance expectations are metSuggest opportunities for improvements in workflows and processesPerform outbound client contact to request or confirm additional informationProvide cross-functional and general administrative supportConsult with Claims Specialists or Team Leads for direction as required to ensure appropriate handling of any undocumented claims processing scenariosRemain current with product and procedural knowledgePerform other duties as requiredQUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Completion of a post-secondary diploma or certificate program in a related field accompanied by a minimum of 1 year of related administrative experience; a combination of training and experience will be consideredPrevious experience in the assessment of health or dental claims, the insurance industry and / or a dental or medical administration role would be definite assetsAnalytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, as well as strong organizational skillsDemonstrated ability to work to deadlines and manage fluctuations in workloadWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 including Word and Excel with the ability to easily learn new software programsMust possess strong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently, as well as in a team environmentOn occasion, must be willing to work additional hours, outside of regular operating hours, to meet the operational needs of the departmentLegally entitled to work in Canada on an unrestricted basisCriminal Record and background check satisfactory to Saskatchewan Blue CrossSBCCareers
