Base pay range

CA$60,000.00 / yr - CA$70,000.00 / yr

Position Overview

Pinchin is seeking a Senior Building Science Technologist to join our Building Science and Sustainability team in Richmond, BC. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role involves conducting on-site inspections, assessments, and reporting for various building science services such as BECA, RCA, building envelope design, concrete / masonry rehabilitation, PCA, and asset management.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations and assessments (PCA, BECA, RCA), prepare technical reports, and make recommendations.
• Perform invasive inspections and testing (roof cuts, exploratory openings, water / leak tests).
• Carry out quantity take-offs, measurements, and estimations.
• Develop restoration designs and specifications.
• Review construction to ensure standards and design compliance.
• Perform PCAs and capital planning per ASTM standards.
• Create detailed AutoCAD drawings.
• Coordinate project finances and maintain QA / QC protocols.
• Follow health and safety protocols.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
