Shift Manager

Job Description

We are currently seeking applicants for a Restaurant

Shift Manager for our Latimer Village location in Langley.

We are looking for candidates who share our passion and

knowledge for food service and coffee, to join our team

and work with us in creating a next level customer

experience at Blacksmith Bakery. As the leader of our

front of house, you should embrace our philosophy of

providing genuine hospitality, creating an inclusive

environment where all team members and customers feel

like they belong, and take a hands-on lead-by-example

approach in supporting your team through every step of

the guest service experience.

Position Requirements :

• 3+ years of managerial experience in a high volume

restaurant or cafe

Restaurant opening and closing expertise

Passionate and knowledgeable about coffee and coffee

culture

Understands the business side of restaurants with a

focus on food and labour costs

Experience in ordering, setting pars and managing

inventory

Experience with hiring, training and leading a team

Has high standards for quality and cleanliness

Exceptional communication, organization and

supervisory skills

Comfortable using any computer-based or web-based software programs and learning new ones

Experience entering and managing data, inventory and

pricing on digital PoS terminals

Available to work varied shifts, early opens, late closes,

weekends and holidays

Valid Serving it Right certification

Other Skills :

Other skills / experience that would be an asset but are

not required; Food Safe Level 1 Certificate, Emergency

First Aid Certificate and familiarity with the following

software programs; Mac OS, Food Cost Calculator,

Shopkeep, Shopify, 7Shifts Scheduling.
