Financial Reporting Accountant

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to support general accounting, fixed assets, banking, and month-end close activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with divisional teams and Corporate Treasury, contributing to accurate financial reporting, strong controls, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare weekly cash flow reports and submit to Corporate Treasury through an online reporting system

Perform monthly intercompany reconciliations and resolve out-of-balance issues with divisions

Prepare monthly journal entries and support the month-end close in ERP and consolidation systems

Complete quarterly reporting schedules, including fixed assets, accrual roll-forwards, and lease commitments

Monitor divisional close activity to ensure accurate consolidation reporting

Prepare audit support schedules and maintain annual audit files

Support AR, AP, fixed assets, and departmental expense reviews as required

Assist with quarterly business plan and consolidation reporting

Contribute to process improvements, documentation, and team collaboration

Maintain compliance with internal policies, health & safety standards, and quality requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

CPA designation or active

4+ years of progressive accounting experience (manufacturing or automotive preferred)

Strong Excel skills and solid knowledge of Microsoft Office

Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred); consolidation system experience is an asset

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities

Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset

Ability to work independently and follow through with minimal supervision
