JOB PURPOSE :
The Maintenance Electrician will maintain all equipment to required plant standards and be responsive to line calls, and equipment failures. They will also routinely performs work independently and must be able to work in an environment with many distractions while maintaining a high level of accuracy in performing their duties.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS / ROLES / RESPONSIBILITIES :
This position will support the Afternoon shift . Hours of work are from 3 : 00 PM –11 : 30 PM, Monday – Friday .Provides support in troubleshooting / repairs and system improvements (optimization) to ensure quality and efficiencyEstablish and follow-up project implementation, including timing, concept, feasibility design, specifications, construction and commissioning, as requiredProvides support in testing, repairing, calibrating electric or electronic componentsMaintains and upgrades PLC software; assist in training Team Members on electric equipment as requiredAnalyze, records, charts and all documentation required for maintenance records, projects and departmentsPrepares drawing material specifications to requisitions required by vendors or other departmentsDevelops controls drawings and design conceptsDeals with various venders; both supplier and equipment suppliersResponds to all maintenance requirements within the departmentParticipate in ongoing cross-training, multi skilling activities within the organizationDemonstrates a sense of urgency in achieving resultsEnsures that all operator safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications and installationsKnows and understands process documentation and customer specific requirements, as they relate to this job functionFollows and complies with all Operational Procedures and PoliciesAdheres to Conestoga Meat's core valuesPerforms other duties as requiredQUALIFICATIONS :
Ontario Certificate of Qualification in Electrical or an equivalent diploma / degree in electrical controls, as requiredCandidates will have a Certificate of Apprenticeship or possess a recognized equivalent (testing may be required)Proof of CSA Z462 Arc Flash Certification training requiredMinimum of two (2) years demonstrated and verifiable experience working in a manufacturing environment.Working Knowledge (oral / written) of both English and MathematicsWorking knowledge of Safety Standards of EquipmentPLC Programming and troubleshooting experience; Allen BradleyAbility to work in various locations within and outside the plantGood attention to detail, excellent organizational and interpersonal skillsAbility to work to deadlines and multiple demandsAbility to uphold confidentialityDemonstrates the ability to work effectively in a team environmentAbility to work overtime to meet customer needsAbility to work independently and without supervisionWORK CONDITIONS :
