North Caribou Lake First Nation High School is a brand new modern facility and has 60+ students in Grades 9 - 11 and expanding to offer Grade 12 in 2026. It is located in North Caribou Lake First Nation (Weagamow) in Northwestern Ontario.Job DescriptionThe Special Education Teacher will work along with other Special Education Teachers and support staff to provide ongoing support to students in the elementary and secondary schools in North Caribou Lake.Qualifications - Experience in First Nations administration is considered an asset- Experience working with First Nation communities is an asset- Ontario College of Teachers certification- Specific Qualifications in Special Education are a requirement.- Demonstrates commitment to Indigenous student success, parent and community involvement- Demonstrates understanding of Indigenous communities with protocols, history, culture, and contemporary issues- Excellent organizational skills- Multi-tasking and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks- Familiarity with technology to support student learning an asset.Salary & BenefitsSalary is TBD based upon experience and qualifications.
