Wiseworth Canada Industries Ltd. is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Manager to lead our sales team and enhance revenue growth and market share in Alberta and British Columbia.

Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll lead the sales team in developing and implementing long-term strategies to boost equipment and maintenance agreement sales, grow market share, and hit revenue and gross margin targets. You’ll use your industrial sales and leadership expertise to optimize sales processes, build a high-performing team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial equipment and maintenance agreement sales, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a commitment to fostering a cohesive, high-performing team focused on achieving results and delivering an outstanding customer experience.

  • Lead the sales team to achieve strategic goals in revenue generation, gross margin, and market share through effective sales management processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement through performance management and personal development processes, as well as sales-focused training and mentoring programs.
  • Plan for long-term strategic growth initiatives and implement strategies to increase market presence through the sale of industrial products and long-term service agreements.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and presentations for upper management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Oversee the effective use of the CRM system to track sales activities and host sales meetings to monitor lead generation, sales pipeline health, and overall performance in relation to sales goals and targets.
  • Oversee dealer distribution network in Alberta and British Columbia, establish and update dealer price lists, and serve as the primary contact for dealer business.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Stay informed on market intelligence, product offerings, industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform sales strategies.  Identify underserved areas and geographies, creating business plans to expand coverage.
  • Work cross-functionally with all departments to align efforts and enhance the customer experience.
  • Coordinate with internal resources to resolve customer issues related to pricing, product specifications, and warranties.
  • Ensure sales contracts and maintenance agreements are structured to protect the company from potential losses, including overseeing warranty terms, payment structures, and liability clauses.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial sales.
  • 2+ years of experience leading a sales team, preferably with a diverse product portfolio in industrial sales.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data to drive sales performance.
  • Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major traffic violations.
  • Valid Canadian passport with the ability to travel across Canada and the US.
  • No criminal record. High level of integrity and ethical values.

  • Skills in reading and interpreting technical specifications, product literature, and commercial documents, as well as writing technical and commercial documents that meet prescribed formats.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, applying logical principles to address practical challenges.
  • Technical knowledge to assess potential applications of company products, recommending solutions that meet customer needs and advance the sales process.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with a focus on verbal, written, and presentation communication.
  • Self-motivated and honest team player with proven business and sales acumen, capable of navigating customer organizations and winning competitive accounts.
  • Ability to assess customer needs and recommend technical solutions based on equipment performance analysis.
  • Tech-savvy, with proficiency using ERP systems and CRM platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 and ZoomInfo preferred.
  • Experience in sales of rotary screw and oil-free centrifugal air compressors is a key qualification for this role.
  • Experience with multi-year service agreement is preferred.
  • Work Arrangements and Travel Requirements

  • Up to 75% travel as required to visit Wiseworth office locations and customer sites across Alberta and British Columbia.
  • Periodic travel to the USA to attend Ingersoll Rand distributor meetings and training courses.
