Cook- Sinbad’s Hotel & Suites

Steele Hotels is in search of a full time Cook to join our team at Sinbad’s Hotel & Suites, located in Gander, NL. The successful candidate will assist in menu preparation, cooking all menu items, baking, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring a quality clean kitchen environment. This position will report to the Executive Chef of the Hotel.

Main Duties and Responsibilities :

• Assist in creating new menus, taking into account food costing and seasonal food availability
• Preparation and cooking all menu items and features
• Proper portioning / cutting of meats
• Ensure all food service standards and quality requirements are met
• Receiving and verifying product matches original orders
• Ensuring adequate inventory levels and communicating discrepancies to the Executive Chef
• Adhere to health and safety regulations
• Ensuring the kitchen is kept clean, sanitized, and tidy, following all health and safety regulations
• Ensure operations level of profitability and client satisfaction is complied
• Other duties as assigned
