Temporary Part-time (.50 FTE) Senior High Math / Science Teacher - Barrhead Outreach

Pembina Hills School Division requires a Temporary Part-time (.50 FTE) Senior High Math / Science Teacher for duties within Barrhead Outreach School. Duties are to commence January 14, 2026 and will end March 13, 2026.

Position Description :

Pembina Hills School Division operates two Outreach programs, one in Barrhead, and one in Westlock. These programs are alternative programs for those students whose personal circumstances make it difficult to successfully attend a traditional high school. These programs are designed to help students achieve both academically and socially. This position will provide math, science and elective course programming.

Qualifications :

• Must hold a valid Alberta teaching certificate
• Proficiency in the use of educational technology
• Successful classroom teaching experience
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Understanding and application of Assessment, Universal Design for Learning and Differentiated Instruction
• Experience with trauma-informed practices and mental health literacy is an asset
