Title : Crisis Response, Community Coordinator

Salary : $63,063 - $78,849 - $86,734 per year (pay range explained below)

Contract : Permanent

Hours : 37.5 Hours, Monday – Friday (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)

Location : Quinsam – Campbell River, Vancouver Island

About the role

As Crisis Response, Community Coordinator, you will – Be reporting to the Regional Health Emergency Manager, the Crisis Response Community Coordinator provides assistance to the communities when there is a crisis situation working under the direction and guidance of the Health Emergency Manager. The Crisis Response Community Coordinator, when possible, will travel to communities to assist with debriefing and mentoring community members that are part of the regional crisis response team.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have / be –

  • Relevant diploma relating to First Nations, Mental Health and Wellness, or Social Work
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields is an asset
  • Professional certifications in Microsoft Office products is preferred
  • Prior or recent training in supportive and / or debriefing models such as Critical Incident Stress Management, ASIST & SafeTALK Trainer Certifications, First Responder, Restorative Justice Circle work or other training relevant to the role are an asset.
  • A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience is required

    The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours. Incumbents are typically hired, transferred, or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience in relation to the role requirements. The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level.

    As a health and wellness organization, the FNHA has aligned with the Provincial Public Health Order released on October 14, 2021. We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees at First Nations Health Authority. This policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
