Position Description

We're seeking a Senior Microsoft Power BI Developer to join our growing Analytics & Insights practice. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of data engineering, visualization, and business strategy — and who's passionate about using the latest Microsoft data capabilities to build scalable, intelligent analytics ecosystems.

You'll lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of Power BI solutions that go beyond traditional reporting — integrating Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, and the Power Platform to deliver connected, governed, and insight-rich experiences across the enterprise.

Your future duties and responsibilities

• . Design and implement end-to-end Power BI solutions that leverage the full Microsoft data ecosystem — including Fabric, Synapse, Data Lake, and Azure SQL.
• . Develop and manage enterprise-grade Power BI environments — workspaces, apps, datasets, dataflows, and reusable templates.
• . Optimize BI solutions for governance, scalability, and reusability using shared datasets, dataflows, and certified content.
• . Design semantic models using best practices in DAX, M, and data modeling.
• . Integrate Power BI with Microsoft Fabric pipelines and Synapse workspaces for advanced data orchestration and analytics performance.
• . Build mobile-ready dashboards and embedded analytics experiences.
• . Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business teams to translate complex data into actionable visual insights.
• . Enable self-service BI through structured governance, reusable assets, and training.
• . Lead technical discussions, mentor junior developers, and set standards for Power BI excellence across the organization.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

"CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70,000 - $140,000."
