Full-Time / Part-Time midwives

Surrey Mama Midwifery is seeking a dedicated and compassionate midwife to join our supportive and experienced team. The preferred start date is Nov 15, 2025, but there is flexibility for the right candidate.

We are a group of full-time and part-time midwives with privileges at Surrey Memorial Hospital, working collaboratively with nurse practitioners and nurses. Our practice enjoys strong relationships and excellent support from both nursing and physician colleagues.

Work Model

Each midwife has her own assigned clients and provides continuity of care prenatally and postnatally at clinic. Calls are shared among the group, allowing for balanced workloads, teamwork, and flexibility for time off and vacations.

Compensation Model

This is a self-billing model, where each midwife bills for her own assigned clients for prenatal and postnatal care, as well as for any deliveries attended while on call. Each midwife is also responsible for her own MSP billing and overhead contributions and pays the clinic an overhead fee to cover shared clinic expenses and operations.

Surrey Mama Midwifery is located in the heart of the Lower Mainland, very close to downtown Vancouver. Surrey is a fast-growing, diverse city filled with young families. Just minutes from White Rock and Crescent Beach, the area offers excellent dining, outdoor recreation, family‑friendly markets, and convenient SkyTrain access.
